I used the CCD with Peltier has lowered the temperature of 20 degrees outside...
28 to 8 degrees.
I have not used the Dark Frames

m51 What the basic DSI C can Do!!!

Hi all I always used the Meade DSI C basic cam as a guide cam but decided to try it as my main imaging cam, now that I have my guiding working near perfect. I use to use the parallel conection from my old laptop but since I bought a new laptop that had no raallel port I have to use USB to serial and this believe it or not solved all my guiding problems through PHDGuiding.

My Setup is Explorer 200mm on my ASGT CG5 Goto mount with a cheap 70mm Skylux guidescope.

This image was the first time I had ventured into 300 sec subs a total of 55 subs for this image I took fresh darks I was very pleased with this image as it does show what the DSI C is capable off.
