Orion Broadband Skyglow Filter Test

TMB 80/480 Piggybacked on a 8" Meade LX-90 GPS with standard wedge Meade DSI IIIc with Meade F6.3 Focal Reducer + 30mm Extension (gives F4.3) Autoguided using LX-90 with Astro Engineering .6x reducer & DSIc with 2.5S update rate in PHD (via GPUSB & APM)

First frame on left 12 349S Subs with just a skylight1A filter and IR cut filter, Second frame on right 8 349S Subs with a skylight1A filter, Orion Broadband Skyglow filter and IR cut filter. All cases, Dark subtract done on the fly in Envisage, hand picked subs, flat frame, bias calibration and stacking done in AIP4Win 2.2 for each individual LRGB channel. Calibrated channels tangent stretched, registered and joined in AIP4WIN 2.2 using the join colours tool. Final finishing in Photoshop with auto-levels and very slight unsharp mask.

Notes: Seeing steady, and skyglow approximately the same on both nights. Post processing for each image kept as close as possible.
