Centaurus alpha

Centaurus alpha
Centaurus alpha is a splendid southern galaxy. It's dust belt is exceptional.
A beautiful object, as well in the eyepiece ... over 254mm diameter ...

MEADE SC 10" + DSI Pro II + guiding with DSI Pro (piggy back refractor)
Standard filter set (IRB ; R G B)
L = 12 images with IRB - 2min ... Not enough, it's the reason why there is a bit too much "noise" ... I'll complete it ;o)
R G B : 10 images each - 2 min

I got it last year with the DSI Pro, the same instrument but with a .63 F reducer ... Those two images may be compared ...

Welcome back, Polo - it's been too long!

Fabulous image of an exotic object...I can not even see this from Minnesota. Thanks for sharing!
