Reprocessed with a noise reduction layer (Noiseware Pro), layer masked into the low signal areas. Noiseware caused some pixel anomalies near stars, so a dust & scratches layer was also added, layer masked onto the doughnut areas immediately surrounding each star. Luminance was also brightened a tad. - - - - - - - - - - - -
NGC1333, a stellar nursery in Perseus approximately 1,000 light years from earth. The aesthetic image is dominated by a bright foreground star and reflection nebula, while the stellar nursery is revealed by the red emissions to the left. If your monitor is adjusted well, you can see dark dust clouds that feed new stars and characterize an interesting region of our galaxy that extends far beyond this narrow view.
