Comet Schwassmann-Wachmann 73P (B) DSI Color, LX90@f3.3 in Polar mode.
Equipment: Meade 8" LX90 SCT, DSI Color camera, Meade f/3.3 focal
reducer, Outback Cooler at 15°C, Meade I/R cut filter, wedge and LX90
adaptor.
Settings: 32 x 7.4sec, saved as Fits files using Envisage, save all
uncombined, quality=90, offset=50. Processing: Exposures aligned and
color merged in AS-IP, LRGB processing in Photoshop CS.
Taken under a glaring moon and an ambient temperature of 85°F...
Note that an F3 tornado was on the ground about 50 miles to the
north-east shortly before these images were taken!
