• Meade Wedge: New design, Old Instructions

I just received my first Wedge yesterday and it's painfully obvious that Meade has changed the design but not the Instructions. You are going to find some parts not shown, and there will be parts in the instructions that you wouldn't get. When you take the Wedge Body out of the box there will be a ...

  • Re: PHD Guiding (The best of times, the worst of times)

Graham, you're probability right.... Thanks for the info. I used to think that the quickest way to wealth was selling Golf 'gadgets'. It seemed like golfers would pay anything for a better swing. Now I'm starting to think the real money is in Amateur ...

  • Re: Two-Star Alignment

I finally got a chance to try this last night. I also found the 'Align on Home' selection in the manual so I: 1) Leveled the Tripod manually. 2) Ran 'Align on Home' 3) Ran 'Two-Star Alignment' using Arcturus and Dubhe. It worked great....!! Thanks ...

  • Two-Star Alignment

If I do an 'Easy' alignment and let the scope level itself and then just press Enter when it selects the two stars it wants to use can I then do a 'Two-star' alignment (per the instructions) and have the scope remain level from the first alignment so I can select the two stars I want to use? This is ...

  • Re: Autostar Suite v5 update released

I just D/L it. I didn't spend a lot of time looking around but I did see that they are trying to support DSLR cameras. I'll see if it works with my Rebel when I get a chance. If anyone finds the release notes could you post it ...

  • Re: First time PEC training

Gerry, If I read the posts above correctly. It sounded like you did a 'Training the Drive', page 60 of my Meade manual, when you wanted to do 'Periodic Error Correction', page 39, and you are saying your GOTO accuracy is off. If I am mistaken, then ignore anything I have ...
